What people say about us

Probably the best sesame chicken I’ve had. Not what I expected but definitely good. Crunchy breading that wasn’t overly present coating tender white chicken. The sauce was a tad salty but not too distractingly so. Very clean place with good service, food, and energy!
— Andy Mozer
Another great spot for fantastic food in Ansonia. The rebirth of Main Street has some great restaurants. It is turning into a foodie paradise. This place was super clean, has a great menu, friendly staff and delicious food. Can’t wait to go back. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant itself is open and decorated nicely.
— JohnD2302016
The overall look of the restaurant is clean, modern, but still very cozy. The service is excellent, and our waitress was very attentive.
Definitely worth the trip if you don’t live in town, especially if you’ve never seen the quaint Main Street stretch.
— Nicole Sikora
Some of the best Thai I’ve had!
— Raul Castil
We have loved Thai food for many years. We often find many Thai restaurants have been inconsistent with their food. Order a dish one time, it knocks your socks off...order again, total flop or something entirely different.

Bangkok Room is decorated tastefully with many beautiful photos of Thailand. It’s VERY clean. You can see the gleaming stainless steel kitchen from the dining area.

Service very attentive. Food on point. Pricing reasonable. Great lunch specials! Plenty of parking. We highly recommend it!
— Jeannine Marie EB
Slowly making my way around the menu. Everything has been delicious so far! Mid to high price but service and food deserve it. A definite must yum! All the thumbs!!!
— Dave
Top notch food, service, and experience. Highly recommend it.
— Greg R
Tried this place before with a friend and I am obsessed ever since. I enjoyed the good atmosphere and delightful food and beverages. I recommend this place.
— James Gibbs
I was fortunate enough to go to Thailand for my honey moon and because of it my wife and I have a keen sense of taste to Thai.

This place so far is very consistent and has the best masaman curry since my visit to Thailand. The spices are on point!

Wife loves the drunken noodles as well, perfectly cooked!
— Luis H
Disappointed in myself for never coming here before. Service was outstanding, Thai Iced Tea was creamy and flavorful, and the crab rangoons were some of the best I’ve ever had. It was spotless, quiet and fairly quick. You’re really selling yourself short not giving it a try. Pricing is very reasonable and the quality beats 99% of what you get in NYC, no question.
— Michael Michalak
Amazing Thai food! Price is reasonable and the food is amazing. I’m Thai and I know how authentic Thai food should taste and this restaurant here is worth it. Everything had flavor like it should have.
— Justina Quesada
We have been looking for a good Thai place ever since we moved back to CT. We took a chance and drove 20 minutes to Bangkok Room, and it was worth every minute. The setting is nice and relaxed, with a very welcoming staff. Attentive waitstaff filled our waters regularly.

They have beer on tap, which is unusual in my experience, with local offerings from places like NEBCo. Definitely coming back and highly recommend
— David Allen
This place is always amazing when I come in! The Tai tea is especially great 😍
— Emily Kent
What a great surprise in Downtown Ansonia! The food and ambiance is simple, but great. The prices reasonable, and the service is great. I go there often as one of my favorite restaurants.
— Dino Rivera
Excellent and very clean. Will be back soon.😋
— John Chaco
What a great experience First time there. Had the sampler appetizer. It was awesome.
— Pat Robarge
Had a delicious dinner here! The Tom Yum soup, crab rangoons, and Thai sampler were all delicious for appetizers. Everyone was happy with their entrees of drunken lemongrass chicken, drunken noodles, fried rice, yellow curry, pad Thai, and Param noodle as well. We found the restaurant to be really clean, and it was nice that the kitchen was open, where you could see it was clean there as well. This is a great local spot close to home for us, so we will definitely be back!
— Allison C
Service is wonderful! Food is outstanding! Been there several times.
— Rosemary Nishti
Their Pad Thai is amazing! We get it once a week And love it!

— Meridith Glossman
Best thai food cuisine in Ansonia
— Viral Arroyo
I have visited Bangkok Room several times now and have never had a meal I would describe as less than excellent. Dishes are full of flavor and fresh ingredients. Have taken family who were initially skeptical that Thai food would be too spicy but the servers and chef do a great job making the food however the guest wishes. Would recommend this place to anyone.
— X8144SQkellym
Amazing food!
— Maggie F
Beautiful portion! Cook very skilled in matching level of spice (five stars). A slight let down was no Thai alcohol. The food is tasty and you will want another bite after bite. Portion I felt was spot on. In my opinion try the drunken noodle level 5 if you are a pepper head.
— Chad Fetting
Great food 👍
— Marianne Vass
Great food! Nice atmosphere. Pleasant wait staff. No rush to get you in and out. Food for every type of palate out there.
— Brad T
Impromptu stop...amazing!
— Joshua Canfield
I was pleasantly surprised, I liked it much better than the Thai places I have been to in Milford & Stratford. When we arrived there was only a couple there & by the time we left the place was quite busy.

Will definitely return & it looks like Main Street Ansonia is stepping up it’s game with new eateries.
— Vlodpg
Nice, clean, decorative atmosphere
— Naturalista
This restaurant is a great addition to Ansonia. Quality Thai food (Asian). On my way home from a meeting drove down Main Street for takeout and saw the OPEN sign to this new restaurant. Ordered food to go but waited inside while it was prepared. Great ambiance. Next time we’ll eat in. My husband and I enjoyed the wonderful flavors and fresh food. Bangkok Room will be your new place to stop for Thai (Asian) food. Just delicious and service excellent!
— fernjodasilva
Great food.
— Michael Lewis
I Learned of this restaurant about three weeks ago on yelp. It was a Monday, and this restaurant was the only Thai place open so I took a chance and ordered pad woonsen with Pad Thai noodles & chicken. It was delicious with just a little kick even though I ordered it mild. I have ordered it two more times with shrimp. The first order had seven shrimp but yesterday I was pleasantly surprised with a dozen shrimp. It is filled with really fresh red peppers, onion, egg, carrots, scallions, celery, & bean sprouts! I just love the crunch and the flavor of the combination. This has become my favorite Thai takeout restaurant. I do plan to dine in at a later time when things improve because their dining room is very attractive and nicely decorated. They also allow BYOB. The woman at the counter is delightfully friendly and so pleasant. It is located next to the copper city grill which is next to Crave on Main St.
— Suan O
Very very good Thai!
Lovely and clean. Nice, attentive staff. Great lunch deals. We love it here!
— J M E
This restaurant is not large but it is comfortable. The service is prompt, friendly, and efficient. The music is always relaxing and subtle. Every food item I’ve tried has been delicious! The curries are my favorite. Also, the house Chardonnay is quite good for only $6/glass. I’ve eaten here about five times and have not one thing negative to say.
— Chelsea S
Food is simply amazing. I love coming here and will continue to come back! Best thai restaurant around. Will continue to be a customer!
— Ryan E
Bangkok offers great quality and authenticity of the dishes. Salt was balanced, spice and heat all under control. The lunch special came with an appetizer, soup and main course at a great price. If your a fan of drunken noodles, you must try it here. It’s a dish packed with great seasoning and flavors
— Courtney D
Food is great and the entire place is super clean. Staff is very accommodating and super friendly. This is my go to place to eat in the area.
— Danny M
This place never disappoints. I ordered drunken noodle. It was delicious. Little spice, soft noodles, great flavors atop fresh vegetables and ground chicken. Accompanied with white rice and some spring rolls, it was a delightful dinner tonight. Modestly priced for the portion size as well. I come here often. And I’ll keep coming here as long as the food continues to be awesome !!
— Michael C
Crispy duck is just plain badass.....almost every time. Drunken chicken is also excellent. This is one of only 2 places I’ll get asian food if I’m anywhere near home.
— Erik H
A close runner for best stop of 2017, Bangkok room is run by the same team as Sumai in Southbury, which is excellent in its own right. Service is stellar and food is top notch, I’ve got nothing negative to say about the actual food or kitchen, but the parking is across the street. Not a real problem, but it does involve a bit of a dash. Lots of room otherwise. Right down the street from the best polish food in CT, too!
— Jeff B
The food was delicious and fresh. Drunken noodle was spicy but not so much that the fire overpowered the medley of flavors. The tofu in the stir-fry had a great texture and absorbed the flavors in the dish well. The wait staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The quiet atmosphere was perfect. All in all, a great experience. Cannot wait to sample the other choices in the extensive menue.
— James C
I’m from California on business travel staying in Shelton. Being my first time to CT I whipped out yelp and found this highly rated Thai restaurant and do I ever love Thai food so it was a no brainer.

Long story short the place is very, very nice and the food is spectacular; best drunken noodles I’ve ever had. If I’m ever up here again this will be a stop for sure.
— Sean D
If your looking for some delicious Thi food, nice ambiance and outstanding service you won’t be disappointed at the Bangkok Room on Main Street Ansonia.
— Terri G
Best Thai food we’ve had in years. Everything is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Service was great as well.
— D M
Excellent appetizer sampler, came with 4 sauces. The fresh rolls were delicious. We shared appetizer sample and a bottle of wine followed by the mango coconut rice dessert. The perfect light dinner. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food. Really enjoyed the evening there!
— Lori S
I’ve only done take out from here, and every time it was excellent. The Crispy Pad Thai is awesome and the portions are the perfect size. And the lunch specials are priced well. Highly recommend giving this place a shot.
— Kym G
This restaurant was recommended by our son and daughter-in-law. We were so delighted to find it! Amazing food!!! We had the coconut soup, the Mango Tango, and the Fried Pad Thai, two of their specialty dishes. They were absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. So happy to have a new favorite place!
— Tralabate
Food was delicious and service was good.
— Brian C
Food was amazing, it’s a must come! The place was also really nice and relaxing. Will definitely be coming back!
— Juan Mallqui Reyes
The food is always so excellent. Perhaps it’s because it’s prepared right there where you can see it, and then plated nice and hot to your table. My family loves the ice tea. I was never a fan of ice tea until I had my first one at this restaurant. I’m totalling hooked on it now. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I highly recommend it.
— G From Yard
Great food. Will be back. Not expensive too.
— Guyanese Reaction
One of my favorite places to get lunch in town! The staff is friendly and the food is always delicious.
— Daniel Marazita
This restaurant is my favorite site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. when I need a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes straightaway to my head. outstanding and varied food and a rich menu, professional staff, and agreeable mood. Also important, the cost is reasonable. I recommend this place with no doubt.
— Bronson Park
Finest food, very welcoming staff, consistently good mood. They charge convenient rates and the food quality is good. 5 stars.
— Logan Callanhan
This place is great! The food is AMAZING! Everytime I go there, I want to buy everything on the menu. I’ll buy random things, and each dish is tastier than the last. The service is fast. The location is perfect. The staff is courteous and friendly. Their Thai Iced Coffee is heavenly! 5 stars is too little for this place, they’re like a galaxy of stars! AAAAAAAAAND they’re BYOB!!!!!!!! No corking fee but they have their own bar if you would rather order! My 100% most unreserved recommendation!
— Tom Leszczynski
People should go to the Bangkok Room for the great Thai food and Service. The Drunken Noodle was great and so was the Dumpling Soup. Make the trip it is worth it.
— TC133
Went here for the first time and the food was delicious. It was freshly prepared and the flavor confirmed it. Food was tender and not chewy. Service was great and friendly. I recommend the Thai tea. Yum. Restaurant was CLEAN! Pricing reasonable for what you get. Enjoy!
— Amanda Lein
Food is amazing and fresh! Service is exceptional. One of my favorite places. Try the Thai iced tea, curry dishes, and delight of two just to name a few!
— Jennifer Kennedy
Best pad thai we have had! Just moved to Ansonia from Manchester, CT and we are so happy we found this place! We have ordered multiple times in one week! Have not dined in yet, but staff is always friendly when we come pick it up! Definitely will be coming in to try other dishes soon!
— Shelby Donahue
First time there. Great service and food. Nice selection and reasonably priced. Will be going back and would definitely recommend.
— Michael Di Stassio
Great food, relaxing environment with prompt and efficient service. Love coming here for some healthy and delicious food. Not the healthy part of the menu but these wing are incredible.
— Jeff Valley Driver
It’s very very good but very very pricey. The service is outstanding and the food, delicious. So there’s a trade off but that’s usually the case. The bathrooms are extremely clean and pleasant. It’s never really crowded and you can sit inside or outside. The Tai Ice Tea is absolutely delicious. Beef and broccoli, amazing! Spicy chicken, to die for. And the food is always hot. I never had an “ok” meal, always perfect.
— Anthony Bucherati (Tony)
Service is great. Food is delicious . Each time I try something new and I’m alway amazed of how fresh and delicious every thing is.
— Denise Dillber
Great lunch special. Food and service were great.
— Joshua Gilbert
Finally, a place that knows how to cook duck, and the brown sauce was awesome. Service was great as well.
— Dennis Kazan
Delicious, great service, good price
— Kristine Bourret
Wow.. I had heard about Bangkok room from a few people and I’m kicking myself for not going sooner.

We ordered takeaway on a Friday night and the wait time was minimal. It was easy to place our order via phone but would be nice to order online.

Food: outstanding !! We order spring rolls, panang beef and drunken noodles. The food was beyond my expectations. The volume of meat and veggies with each dish was a lot more than most other Thai restaurants. The flavors were perfect and the spice level was exactly what we asked for. 4 out of 5 had nice heat!!
— Bridget D
I go there every week and the food and service are great every time.
— Andrew McReynolds
Consistently excellent quality, flavor and freshness each of the 3 times we’ve been here. Modern comfy decor, soft lights, good svc.
— Elizabeth Kenney

Great food! Loved the Tom ka gai chicken soup, amazing panang curry and the drunken noodles were to die for! The duck portions were small but had a great sauce. We can’t wait to come back and get some more delicious food.
— Rachelle P
Fresh food.
— Brian Powell
We’ve been to this little restaurant in Ansonia 3 times already. Each time the food has been excellent. The service has been very good and the prices fair. I can’t think of one negative thing to say about this restaurant....everything was excellent. Easy to get to and lots of free parking across the street too.
— Gerry T
The Bangkok room serves amazingly delicious food. Even though they don’t look that busy inside - they are very busy creating take out orders. This is an unknown hidden gem.
— Mlarovera
I had a lovely time visiting with an old friend. The food was amazing, the service was friendly & efficient.
— 285chelseag
We had a crab Rangoon, it was the I’ve ever tasted! I had the Seafood madness and it was great, my wife had the coconut soup and crisp pad Thai. All the food was excellent.
— sdparent1
Broadly inclusive menu with excellent, unobtrusive service in a stylish setting - the Tom Yum soup was especially good. Will definitely be returning, this place is a find.
— Ron S
This place is the best asian restaurant in the valley! I have so many favorites! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I can literally eat here everyday. Well get takeout because since dining in is closed. I really like their coconut soup. So full of flavor! Pad woonsen is another favorite! Light noodles! Everything is made to order! Love it!
— Lana V
Familiar with the restaurant family. Always a delight whether it’s the Bangkok Room in Ansonia or Thai Stories in New Haven.
— Joshua H
One of my favorite restaurants in Ansonia! You can really taste the freshness of the food!
— Savanna R
Cool little spot for dining in or take out. We tried the crab rangoon, pad Thai, and the Tango Mango. The crab rangoon were delicious, the pad Thai is the best in the area, and the Tango Mango dish was fresh, unique and something I would order again. Excellent Thai food, highly recommend trying them out.
— Jon B
Another hidden gem of the valley! Amazing quality Thai food. Generous portions with fresh ingredients and amazing flavor. Cannot day enough good things about this place. Must try the appetizer sampler, shrimp mango curry, any of the noodles, and pineapple fried rice.
— Julie F
Excellent Pad Thai also! Nice music and atmosphere definitely be back again, what a gem this place is
— Sue H
SO GOOD. Love the atmosphere and especially the flavorful food. Crab rangoons have real crab. The spices have nice kicks of heat and each dish has balanced, tangy aromas. On a rainy day, the soups are especially comforting and warm you up inside. Definitely appreciate the quality and care put into the dishes. Service was attentive.
— M O
We’ve been here a couple of times now and it continues to impress. Very good Thai food from the sampler, to the crispy pad Thai, and beef macadamia. A nice relaxed atmosphere with an open kitchen works well, too. Great addition to the main drag in Ansonia
— Don P
Amazing service, perfect Thai Iced Tea, incredible crab rangoons and and an unbeatable price. Honestly was skeptical at first but the restaurant was spotless and we felt very welcome immediately. This is a hidden gem for sure.
— Mike M
Got take out from here for my office, my first time trying Thai food! The inside was so clean, and modern atmosphere. Nice and fast service! Food was amazing. My coworker and I both got the Drunken Noodles, perfectly spicy and tangy! The spring rolls were so light and lovely. We had the coconut soup, which had a very light coconut background flavor, and a lovely savory effect to it as well. The crab rangoons were more crab than cream cheese, but who doesn’t love a little more crab! :P Over all, delicious, will definitely be coming here for dinner one night soon.
— Alyssa K
Ordered takeout online using the link in their website. Ready in no time and it was delicious! Got the hot basil chicken stir fry with brown rice and was able to choose my “spice level”. Will definitely order from them again!
— Rach A
Love this place. Since my first visit I have tried a few more things! I have to say that I am pretty addicted to the drunkin chicken. It is seriously DELICIOUS
— Rachael C
LOVE this place!! Best Thai food around. Hands down!!! I have tried a couple other local areas and nothing compares. Everything I have had has been very good. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven’t yet. :)
— Carisa G
My wife and I decided to check this restaurant since the reviews were pretty good. We ordered Tom Yum soup and Coconut soup. Excellent!! For the main course I ordered Crispy Duck and my wife ordered Eggplant Basil with chicken added. The main courses were great. As a suggestion I recommend to have a bit more sauce to the food since they are served with rice. The flavor, however, was great and the ingredients were fresh. All in all everything was good.
— Fred F
My son spent three months in Thailand so we decided to give this new restaurant a try. The food was fantastic and the service was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and made good recommendations she thought we would like. Would highly recommend if your looking for something different at a good price
— V F
Very good, authentic Thai food, clean place and fast, friendly service. Stopped for a quick meal and was very pleased. Very good pad Thai and fresh rolls. Will definitely come back again!
— Cindy B
A wonderful gem in downtown ansonia. I’ve officially become obsessed with Thai after I found this place. I’ve tried to order something different everytime I come and I’ve never been disappointed. Highlights for sure are the drunken noodle and crispy duck. Can’t recommend enough.
— John C
Just passing through CT. Found Bangkok Room on Yelp. It was a wonderful experience. Service was attentive. Food was so fresh and delicious. Even the bathroom was lovely! I hate when Asian restaurants assume you are going to use chopsticks. I was so happy to see utensils (even a knife) already on the table. I wish I lived nearby because I definitely would go to Bangkok Room frequently.
— Babara S
All I can say is you must give this place a try. I was SO impressed. This place has NYC quality. We tried the duck curry dish. DELICIOUS!!!
— LynneNic22
I loved it. Food was excellent. The place was clean and the service was great.
— Tasha S
This place is on Main Street in Ansonia - kind of hidden - the food is delicious - we’ve been 4 times now in the past 3 months and have never had a bad (even mediocore meal) - it’s always fantastic! The atmosphere is so nice - very authentic and quiet. The service is always good. The restuarant is not always super busy but do not let that deter you! It looks like they do a lot of take out orders! Prices are totally reasonable! I’ve had the Pad Thai every time and my husband loves the curry. We also enjoy the appitizers such as the crab ragoon and spring rolls. We will definitely continue to be repeat customers.
— K Tullz
If you’re looking for some great thai cuisine Bangkok room Is the place. The food is phenomenal.
— C Rod
I frequently go to Crave and Copper City so was inclined to try this restaurant when I saw it open. The food is amazing! Presentation is perfect and the service is great. This is a quaint and cozy restaurant with nice ambiance and I hope it does well and withstands the hands of time in this area. My go to dish is the pad thai. I frequently get it for take out as well. This place is a must if looking for authentic Thai food.
— LeighA34
Hands down! The best thai food in the area. Highly recommend!!
— Mehak B
You have to hit up the lunch special... excellent Tom Yum soup, salad, and Drunken Chicken!
— Jim Mazz
The yellow curry was delicious 😋
— Pamela Ortiz
Great food, great service. The Drunken noodles are fantastic. Highly recommend.
— Noam Meir
I’ve had almost everything on the menu. It’s always amazing. I go there for any occasion. Everyone I bring there loves it.
— Slam Poetry
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. This place is a best kept secret in the county. The service was great and some of the best Thai food I’ve had. The restaurant and restrooms are spotless. This is my new go to restaurant!!!! Well Done Bangkok Room 👍👍👍
— Frank Sannella
Awesome food. Highly recommend the drunken noodles !!
— Dana Tyler
The food tastes great- very fresh tasting. Everything had a unique flavor of its own, and the pork dumplings were amazing! The staff is friendly and accommodating. It has a modern, clean, but not sterile or clinical atmosphere. The seats and booths are comfortable. I saw someone else mention how this place is pricey, but we got the lunch special and it was a bill under 30 dollars for two. Can’t complain about that! My girlfriend and I will be coming back for sure. I’d recommend this place to anyone!
— Sarah Hammer
Great atmosphere, helpful service, super tasty food. Peanut sauce is top notch and the drunken chicken was amazing. Definitely going to be coming back in the near future.
— Caleb
Best thai soup we’ve ever had. I wish the chicken wasn’t ground for the drunken noodle but overall...fabulous!
— Sarah Smith
My husband and I have eaten here several times and love this place. I realized when looking for places open on a Sunday that we never took the time to post a review and rave about this place. The staff is wonderful. The food is very delicious. We’ve had several different dishes. You can tell that they take their business very seriously and have pride in what they do. It is a little pricier so we don’t frequent it as often as we’d like, but it is totally worth every penny.
— Elena Adlon Place
This is one of the best Thai places around. The people are friendly. The decor and atmosphere is pretty nice and most importantly, the food is outrageous. Be sure to get the Thai sampler, you wont be disappointed.
— Jason Shepard
These guys have always been nice to me since the day they opened. Good food good service love going there.
— Donnie Darko
Good place for Thai even for Thai people.Keep up good work guy.
— Jirawat Liw
My wife and I moved to Stamford and have tried 6 or 7 other Thai places — none come close to replacing the Bangkok Room. All of the curries and noodle dishes are consistently fantastic, and the delicious hot Thai tea with lemon is a necessity. We especially recommend the param noodles and massaman curry, better than you’ll find anywhere else in the area.
— Andrew Darin
Food was very flavorful. Highly recommend.
— Arpita Muchhal
Excellent, authentic Thai food. This is not an “Asian Fusion” restaurant that offers a bunch of Asian dishes that are poorly made; this is top-notch Thai!
— Michael Otero
Food and service was great
— Tina Woehrie
Beautifully decorated, great food, friendly & attentive staff. will be returning
— Loren
Great food and service. Can’t wait to come back.
— Kathleen Stone
Their food is delicious! I especially love threir spring rolls and pad thai noodles.
— Renee Efthymiou

— No W
The Pad Thai was delicious! Highly recommend.
— Ivette Ulloa
Food is delicious staff is very pleasant very quaint restaurant.
— Sue Millican
Phenomenal food and the waitstaff is always so pleasant!
— Chelsea Curran
My son recommended the restaurant and thought he had probably oversold it, but it was all he said and more. The Thai ice tea was to die for. Service was terrific and staff vey friendly. Hubby had Sizzling Seafood and although it didnt look very big, was more than enough and hot and spicy. Vegetables very fresh and cooked perfectly!
— Loreen M
Amazing Thai food! My go to for take out! I am a thai food fanatic and this is by far my favorite place... especially for Drunken noodles! The staff is also very kind. Would recommend!
— Savannah F
Best food in Ansonia.
— Ryan Wood
I’ve driven by this restaurant and it never seemed busy. My family of 4 went last night for dinner and the restaurant was busy with people dining in and ordering take out.
The menu is extensive, food was delicious, and prices were fair. I just wish I had tried this place ot earlier.
— Loves Latin America
Loved the food!
— Richard Rudolph
Recently moved to Shelton and this has quickly become our favorite go to mid night place! I love their Pad Thai, and Pho! I also recommend their Thai Sampler, it’s a really good deal and the chicken satay that comes with it is so flavorful and moist (comes with a delicious unique sauce)! The orders are always right, only about 15 minutes from call to pickup.
— Heather M
Been craving some Thai food for a week now and Bangkok Room did not disappoint! Ordered the appetizer sampler, pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. First off, the aroma as you walk in the door was amazing! The young lady who took care of me was very pleasant. The food was delicious! Fresh and so tasty! Loved the assortment of sauces with the appetizer sampler. Can’t even tell you which one I enjoyed the most. The pad Thai was yummy, bit the pineapple fried rice with pork was the best ever! Will definitely be going back!
— Cindy L
Consistently good, friendly service, cute restaurant. Best local thai place for sure. I usually get take out from them a few times a month, and dine in on occasion, and everything is always good.
— Rebecca H
Fantastic restaurant. I know the owner from Thai stories and Wood Bridge, always been a favorite of ours. Neil was perfect tonight service was awesome and there was no wait go to this place if you want to great Thai dinner
— Brad B
Came here for the first time, it’s beautiful inside. Very clean and friendly service. We had the hot basil with chicken and beef pan fried. Both server with a side of rice. It was perfect. Delicious flavors and the spicy brown sauce is to die for. Defiantly will be back
— Missy A
I love Bangkok Room. Everything is always fresh. Very pleasant people and welcoming atmosphere. I just wish more people took advantage of this downtown gem.
— George D
A relatively new place as it opened two years ago. The atmosphere is nice, the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. The prices were also quite a nice surprise as they were lower than expected. I recommend giving them a try!
— Steve D
The best thai restaurant in town.
These are shrimp asparagus and crispy duck.
Superb!!! Delicious!!!

I’ll come again next time.
— Tanyanan R
I come here at least once a week, and have never been disappointed, and I never get tired of eating here too often. The establishment is comfortable (nice chairs, soft lighting, and clean). It’s close to home, coming from Seymour (makes for a good take out option). Parking is directly across the street. Food is served quick and arrives steaming hot. People are friendly. Great draft beers (love that they have Sea Hag). There’s no reason I can rate lower than 5 stars.
— Richard M
Ordered take out here to try a different Thai option in the area. I usually go to Thai Berry in Monroe closer to home. The staff was friendly, clean interior would be nice atmosphere for dining in. The coconut soup was not good, too much lemon grass/ lime and curdled. My favorite was the Pad Thai which was fresh and flavorful. The drunken noodles my sister had were a bit too spicy. Overall the dishes were fresh and well prepared but would like to try more options in the future!
— April H
Wow was I surprised when I found excellent Thai food in the valley! I gotta say that strip of Main St in Ansonia has come a very long way. First, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive! The place is clean and very nicely decorated in inside. Sitting there you would never know you were in Seymour! We’ve been there twice in a week and both times the food was great. So happy I don’t have to drive all the way to New Haven or Orange for good Thai food. You can order no spice, little spice or hot. I order little spice and it’s perfect for me. Here’s what we’ve tried so far. Will be back
— Kristie L
Great food! Everything was really fresh. Nice clean restaurant! Would definitely go back! The only thing is if you like spicy, you might want to ask for extra spicy.
— Pam L
Never busy when I go, but I attribute that to going sorta on the late side on week nights. Great atmosphere. Place is spotless and great modern feel from the decor. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Admittedly, I have not eaten at many Thai restaurants so I don’t have too much to compare it to, but the food is always fresh and tastes great. I like the fact that they have an open kitchen and you can see your food being prepared. Definitely one of my and my daughters favorite spots to stop at for a weeknight dinner.
